What does a week off feel like?
It was a mixed reaction for me. On one hand, not having to wake up at 3:45a to go workout was easily the best thing about taking time off. I got to sleep in until 6:45-7:00a almost every day. Adding 15-20 hours of extra sleep this week has been amazing. I thought that I would eventually feel caught up on rest but as the week went by, I realized that I might not ever get to a point in my life where I am completely and totally rested.
Before the week started, I lowered my macros back down a notch. I knew that I would not be working out so no need for the extra food. My goal was to nail the macros day in a day out. I feel like I did pretty good all things considered. I found that I was not as hungry as I normally have been.
From the numbers over the last week, it was obvious that during the week I did great. On Saturday night we went out to eat Chinese and I had no idea how to log what I ate. I did the best that I could but do not have faith that the information was 100%. I was short on protein but so stuffed when I got home I didn’t want to try and eat more.
Sunday was a cheat meal for dinner at Salsaritas. I had the chips and queso and then a big beef burrito with all the goodies inside. I fully expected to blow my numbers. On Sunday, I usually cut loose a little and that is when I have a cheat meal. No big deal.
The odd thing was that from the middle of the week through today, I have felt like I have gained weight. I have felt bloated and uncomfortable in my clothes. I am hoping that will change as I get back into the routine this week.
