On Track

The first week of the new eating plan I created went awesome.  I think it has been one of the best weeks to date.  I don’t have to track every day, I am portioning out my meals properly, I don’t feel restricted, I enjoy what I eat, and I am not lacking energy.  I dropped a few pounds the first week as expected. I am also expecting another loss when I weigh in next but it should come off slowly after that.

I have tried to balance out the exercise a little more, such as making sure I am getting more steps in. Thankfully my oldest is still very much active and wants to move more, so that definitely helps my step count.

It has been deload week during a hypertrophy block, so the weights have not been much of a big deal.  I have been sticking to my plan of not using a belt at all.  The only thing I notice so far with that is that I am more sore in my lower back after deadlifts than I was before.  But it is nothing that I have not been able to recover from or any type of severe pain so I am planning on moving right along.
