C25K - 2021, Metrics, Running

Garmin Judgement

My right knee is still tight, but I am determined to get it back to 100% again.  I have really been hammering the stretching and rolling it out.  Oddly enough, it feels worse when I don’t move it.  When I get into a power walk, I feel great.  Same with a run.  So I am still hanging in with the C25K plan.

I went today during lunch and started a running activity.  This is what my watch thought about that:

What strikes me as odd is that this only pops up when I start a running activity.  The intensity, HRZ, calories, and total time are far less than most of the other activities, so I am not sure why running is the one that triggers this.  Either way, I don’t need that type of negativity in my life, so…

The more that I log runs, the more I am expecting to see a drop in the “race predictor” data.  Right now, when I am running, it is only for a minute to a minute and a half, so I am able to go a little faster.  I am not intentionally running hard.  I want to hold something back so I don’t burn out too quickly, but I do feel that I am able to go at a faster pace than I used to a while back.

Shocked to see that 5K number sitting at 26:56.  I would probably pass out if I could actually run it at that.  I am going to keep tracking that to see how it changes.  It isn’t until week 3 of the program that I get into runs longer than a minute and a half.  As I start to dip my toes into the longer durations, I fully expect to see that 5K predicted time increase closer to 30 minutes.  There is a part of me, however, that is extra hype to see that number as low as it is.
