Whenever I am asked about the Peloton, one of the aspects I mention is how well Peloton does with taking an activity that is done by yourself and still making you feel like you are part of a community. They also do a great job of offering achievements, challenges, and data reminders about how well you have been doing. Each month, I get an email with a summary of my activities. I guess if I was tanking and not doing crap, these emails would be annoying. Right now, however, they are tangible examples of the hard work I have been putting in.
Looking at the calendar, it might come across like I rode the bike every single day of the month. A lot of people use Peloton and bike interchangeably which is incorrect. As I have slowly discovered, there are a lot of other classes available through the membership and I have been taking more than just the cycling classes. I have really enjoyed the outdoor walking classes a great deal. If I did a long bike ride, or one that was just super hard, I would take the next day off and use some of the walking classes for recovery. I really dig the audio queues and the upbeat music and found that it makes the time go by extremely fast, much more so than listening to a podcast.
