I weighed in today, fully expecting to see the number up from last weigh in. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was the same as last week. Given how I have eaten this last week, that in and of itself is a victory. I got into the Halloween candy more than I should have. I also have zero self-control with chocolate. Thankfully my wife dumped all of the candy into a bag and took it to work so that I wouldn’t have to be tempted by it.
I had a few days where I just tapped out in the numbers and went over. It happens. Just have to move on and trust that the week overall will be good. And it was.
I also took measurements this morning. This is the progress thus far:
- Chest: + 1 3/4″
- Arms: + 1/2″
- Waist: – 3″
- Legs: + 2″
The measurement progress has been more uplifting than anything else this week. I had what I would consider a down week in nutrition and still managed to see progress in measurements and with the barbell. Proof that the number on the scale isn’t always the most important.
