Nutrition & Progress: Week 8

I am pretty happy with how everything has been going.  More so than I have been in quite a long time.  I am down another 1.6lbs (total of about 8lbs) and clothes are fitting better and better.  It is nice to have shirts tight in the chest and arms instead of the stomach area.  I still have a lot of improving to do, but this past week I felt excellent.

It is also nice to go grab ice cream and not feel like I am derailing all of my progress.  I am trying not to consider these as “cheats” but just something I am eating.  It is all a part of the process.  What good is a flexible nutrition plan if you are too rigid with it to actually be flexible?  When I do have something that is not a part of my plan, I don’t go crazy all day.  Like the picture above (red velvet oreos, brownie, and Halo Top) was just something I wanted at the end of the week.  I had it and moved on.  But I did not do that all day long.

I am going to stick with this latest round of macros for another week and see how it goes and evaluate where I am from there.
