Nutrition & Progress: Week 8

To say that last week was stressful would be putting it mildly.  Our dog had minor surgery but threw our sleep schedules entirely off.  Our daughters had an extremely busy week with school and extra-curricular activities.  I felt like we had no breathing room for anything.  The lack of sleep caught up with me the quickest and made everything in the gym feel terrible.  On Friday I slept through my alarms and spent most of the day feeling like a wet turd.

That being said, I saw a 0.5lb loss on the scale.  Which might not seem like much, but when you step on the scale and expect to see an increase, seeing a loss is highly encouraging.  Sure, I would like to see a 1 or 2 pound loss, but I have to remember that slow progress is the best for me, especially now with trying to maintain strength. Overall, here is where I stand:

  • Weight: -5.5lbs
  • Chest: + 1 1/4″
  • Arms (L): – 1/4″
  • Waist: – 1 3/4″
  • Legs (L): + 1 1/4″

And I didn’t feel guilty about it at all. I didn’t track it in MFP. I went to have ice cream and enjoy it.
