Split Jerk PR

(Video shows last rep during the EMOM and then PR at 143kg/315lbs)

Normally a rest day, I came in on a Thursday morning to do some cardio. Some how I ended up with the blocks out, working on jerks.

  • EMOM x5 @ 87% (275)
  • EMOM x5 @ 90% (280)
  • Rest 2 minutes, then work to a heavy
  • Went 295, 306x, 306, 315 (5lb PR)

I was really shocked at how good these felt.  I have not worked on split jerks in over 4 weeks while on this training cycle and merely wanted to see where I was at.  I thought if I could hit 85% EMOM style for 10 singles I would be pretty happy, but they felt so easy.  I have been chasing 3 blues for so long and have missed it on so many attempts.  My last PR at 310 was very shaky, but this one was solid.
