Pull-ups

When I first started CrossFit, I hated pull-ups. I would imagine most big guys do. After all, the bigger you are, the harder it has to be to pull yourself up like that. I remember using the bands for what felt like an eternity. A coach told me that I was so close to getting them and wanted me to work off the bands. I remember staying and doing 1 or 2 unbroken for a few rounds. Then each week I would slowly increase.

Lately I do them once a week as accessory work. I just don’t want to lose them after working so hard to get them. Most recently, I have been able to knock out sets of 10-12 unbroken as I work through all my accessories.  When I first added these back, I was only doing sets of 5 (If I remember that right), but have slowly worked back up.  So long ago my goal was to be able to do a set of unbroken 10 within a workout and anything over that I would break.  Just feels good to be able to still do these.
